Valheim: Connect to Server

Join with IP address in-game Valheim

1: Copy the IP address found in your DatHost Control Panel
2: Start Valheim. Click Start Game and select your character.
3: Select the tab Join Game at the top
4: Click Add server at the bottom
5: Enter the IP address copied in step 1 and click Add server
6: Click Connect on your server
7: Enter the password (found on the Settings page of your server) and press Enter

1: Copy the IP address found in your DatHost Control Panel; Note: Make sure to copy the correct connection details, they are different.
2: Open Steam. Then go to View -> Servers in the menu found in the top left corner.
3: Click on Favorites and then Add a Server.
4: Enter your server's IP address and click Add This Address to Favorites.
5: Click Refresh and your server should appear. You can double-click the server or click the Connect button to join the server.
6: If you had Valheim opened, tab into the game. If not, the game will launch, and after some time you’ll be put into the character selection screen. Select your character and click Start.
7: Enter the password (found in the Settings page of your server) and press Enter

The community listing is a bit unreliable in Valheim, so we recommend the two options above.

1: Start Valheim. Click Start Game and select your character.
2: Select the tab Join Game at the top and then select Community.
3: Search for your server name. Once located, click on the server and then click Connect.
4: Enter the password (found on the Settings page of your server) and press Enter.
